Deluge of diwali wishes in whatsapp Like a BOT

So Diwali is over, along with the our taste bud for sweets.

But one thing is remaining thats loads of whatsapp wishes in past day. Personally this beat new year christmas and all the festivals hands down. I have received hundreds of whats app Diwali wishes  from friends, relatives, colleagues, unknown numbers and tom, dick and harry.

Today curiously while writing this blog searched for Happy diwali and all the images search. I have received everyone of them in my whats app  and many many more.

image courtesy (Google search for Happy Diwali)

But now the big headache is how to read them and delete them. My gallery is kind of short of space with those delude (kidding)  I have tried to reply them  as much as possible and they kept on coming till late night. So a time came when I stopped bothering to reply them.

Today I found some interesting messages to those delude of wishes. Just have a look.
शुभकमनायें तो इतनी मिल रही हैं कि 1% भी लग जायें तो अंबानी भी हमारा द्वारपाल बन जाये !!
😂😂😂

Which means if 1 % of the wishes come true I can keep the richest man as my doorman.
 Another one
भाई कल दो बंदे चाहिए..
दिहाड़ी पे
दीवाली  वाले मैसेज डिलीट करने है...

which reads as i need two man on daily wage basis for deleting my whatsapp messages.

Hope you have  a lesser number of Dipavali wishes. if not best of luck and wishing you all a Happy Diwali. And wishing that next year onwards instead of posting and sending festive wishes like a BoT we could add some human touch.

Film I watched in October 2017

This week I watched some Good movies. This blog is a review of those movies.

I watched Seven Years in Tibet-
At a time of Chinas aggression and the growing intolerance everywhere this movie was a eye opener. Instead of hyper ego abandoning the ego and the compassion will leads to lifes pleasure. The movie based on a true story. The movies locations are a sight to behold.

One of the line said by Lhakpa Tsamchoe ( Pema Laki) when Heinrich Harrer (Bradd pitt) says that he has climbed so many mountain and olympic medal winner is so apt in this day of aggression

Then this is another great difference between our civilization and yours.
You admire the man, who pushes his way to the top in any walk of life,
while we admire the man who abandons his ego.

The average Tibetan wouldn't think to thrust himself forward this way.

Even when Brad Pitt is constructing a cinema theatre for Dalai Lama, the average Tibetans are afraid of killing the earthworms while digging, this shows their compassion.

Watch this movie for beautiful location, human bonding and compassion. How compassion and forgiveness leads to happiness.

My score 7 out of 10 for Seven Years in Tibet

The next movie I watched was Daddy ( of Arjun Rampal) Daddy is based on the life of alleged gangster  Arun Gawli. This movie is a journey of How he become a petty criminal to an MLA to convicted for life.

Watch this movie for beautiful cinematography, the Old Bombay well depicted and the powerful acting of Arjun Rampal and the support crew.

My score 7 out of 10 for Daddy

The Judge ( Robert Downey Jr.) was another movie where the father son bonding is shown beautifully. The already deteriorated relationship in family, a successful career in law in a big city, the ever so old town and left out siblings all find a place in this beautiful movie

watch the movie for some bonding with your family, smart one liners in between and the charm of living in your old place.

My score 7.5 out of 10 for The Judge

The confusion Online or offline. #CleanUpCashOut

At this fast changing ever dynamic the smartphones are being upgraded more than teens changing their partner. Its easy to stick with a bad partner than to stick to an older version (may i call it obsolete) smartphone.

When there is a breakup, the partners return the important gifts, deletes the number (janu. Swty, shona) deletes those messages in the phone, delete those photos posted in facebook, insta etc to move on. But when we buy a new phone or upgrade to a new phone the process is not as easy the other one. First the phone has so many data from contacts, to your gallery to some important text. Although technology enables to migrate those data and loads of pictures and videos to your new device but the person who actually do so know the difficulty and how many important things does not reach the new device.

Now assume all these process is over the factory reset done the challenge is how to sale the phone. None of our friends will buy the old phone not even those distant cousins who are studying in colleges want to take the obsolete phone for free.

So the mission "Sell The Phone" starts.

First choice- The online store

Your preferred online store where you want to purchase the new phone by exchanging the old phone. You thought you will get a decent exchange value and the new phone will not burnt a hole in your pocket. You choose the exchange option select the brand name then the model and in some micro seconds it will show the value you are waiting for. Congratulations Rs.1800 exchange value for the phone which you have purchased for Rs.18999 just a year or so ago. You are highly disheartened and bought the phone without exchanging your old phone thought he no cost EMI option. Nor we are to busy with your new phone and your old phone is lying somewhere in the drawer in your home. One fine day while doing Swachhta Hi Seva in your home after your moms reprimands you found your old good phone in the drawer besides some pen drives, the MP3 player, so may ear phones, a bluetooth speaker (which your ex has gifted) and more and more. Now you finally decide to take some effort to sell that phone.....

Second choice- Go offline

After discovering the huge price in the online segment you choose the offline mode and went to the local mobile shops whose sign board reads as We Buy Old Phones. You go with your old phone , old charger with a hope that you will get a good price. The shopkeeper asks you for the reason for the visit and as soon as you show your old phone, he asks you to wait and keep himself busy in showing the customer new handsets. He shows the handsets orders tea for that customer and himself with the hope that you will get bored and go away. But you are a different breed who has vowed to sell the phone. So you wait and wait and when the shopkeeper gives you an audience the golden words flows. The typical Baniya says " Aajkal  purana phone kaun kharidta hai ?" "Sabko naya phone chahiye" which read as who buys an old phone now a days everyone buys new phone. You try to convince him that its a good phone good camera, battery good back up all those stuff. He seems a little interested. You have a glimmer of home. You are wishing "just tell the price ' and he with his pauses and baniya style says "Iska 1200 Milega." You cant believe what you just heard Was it 12000 or 1200 ? You asks again WHATTTTT ? He says 1200. Your heart breaks that you heard it right. Now you describes the technical details like proceessor, internal memory , graphics for a better price. He says final price 1500. You just realised in online you are actually getting more (rs.1800) for exchange. You says all the MC BC to the shopkeeper on your head and returned back.

Final Choice- Go Cashify

With Cashify you can get best price for Your Device, Select your device & cashify  will help you unlock the best selling price based on the present conditions of your gadget & the current market price. You can Schedule a Free Pickup, On accepting the price offered for your device, Cashify arrange a free pick up, so no need to go to that baniya shop

Saffola Life Study the reasons for heart disease and how to overcome these.

Dr. Shashank Joshi one of the leading cardiologists of India and he is from Lilavati Hospital, shared the details about Saffola Life Study conducted in major cities of India in association with research partner Nielsen.

The top  reasons in the way of good health are
1. Temptations for tasty/spicy/oily food
2. Job stress/deadlines
3. No adequate space to exercise
4. Long commute time
5. Less sleep

Dr. Joshi not only list out the reasons but also shared tips how we can overcome these challenges.

1.  We should not have the wrong notion that healthy food are not tasty. Healthy food can be tasty with right ingredients and quantity. We should curb the temptations by limiting the intakes or sharing our food.
2. Job stress although unavoidable but can me minimised by taking deep breaths routinely and having more active time in our office hours.
3. In Mumbai space is a real issue. There is very less open space. But still there are quite a list of places which are good for doing exercise jogging and play and that to with clean air like Aarey colony, Borivali national park ,Aksa beach. The public parks are also an welcome addition. In our morning time or weekend times we can explore these options.
4. Long commute time which again is unavoidable in a city like Mumbai is a big reasons for stress. Again the deep breathing, good music etc helps in reducing that stress arising out of that long commute.
5.  In a city that never sleeps it's quite natural that it's inhabitants are also embracing that life with less sleep. While doctors recommend 8 hours of sleep a day but most of us find 6  hours of sleep a luxury. Many a time for that gadget /TV/ cinema we are losing our sleep. But  good and healthy 💓 required our effort also. So we may skip that entertainment for a good night sleep.

Unknowingly we are not giving enough attention towards our health. That's why most Indians are becoming more prune to heart attacks and heart related diseases. The time has come to take that extra push for a healthier heart.

Thoda Push karo : For Life.

In our busy life we neglect The most important thing. i.e Our health. So this article is about how we can take time and make the most of out of it during that busy schedule for taking care of our health and lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

When we were children life was quite simple. School was 10-4. after that play for two hours. then prayer, study, dinner and early to bed. But todays life is far cry from that idealistic past. Now office time is 9-7 include the commute time with the traffic it becomes 8 am in the morning to-8.30 pm in the evening.

I can remember as a child we could eat whatever we wish with whatever the quantity  and there was never an indigestion, acidity or what nots. But now these are common occurrences every alternate day.

See the pictorial representation about  the changed activity. How much we were active in our childhood days and what have changed !!!

So is it possible us to lead life as before ?  If we ask our boss he/she clearly wont agree to our proposals. If we ask our collegaues and friends they will say "Paagal ho gaya kya ? naukri nehi karni ?" If we ask ourselves we get the same answer.

So should we continue to ignore our health for that dream !!!

Clearly not, if we do  #ApneTareekeSeHealthy in that busy schedule. Just watch this interesting video from saffola about  #ApneTareekeSeHealthy.  Thoda Push karo......

So besides the various activity shown in the video like avoiding junk food whenever possible, to have a active life by pursuing family time in swimming cycling etc we can be active in some other ways.

Pick a sport/Hobby--- As a kid I loved to play badminton ( just street badminton with no net) But now We have formed a group in our housing society who loves to play that game. And when there is a group there comes competitiveness and our annual tournaments push us to play and give our best. Now we see that without alarm we get up to play the match. So you can choose the activity/sports you like most and with like minded people you can form a group so that the little push will come automatically.

Group outing and activities- As a group we have started a new activity in our housing society, every Saturday and Sunday morning we will go to a nearby places for physical activity. In a city like Mumbai its difficult to get an open place but there are some gem of place like Aarey colony, Borivali National Park, hanging garden Juhu beach, Aksa beach etc where one can do jogging, running, yoga, games etc and when there is a group the push comes automatically.

This is my effort to stay healthy in the busy and hectic schedule. Hope you will push yourself little more for the most precious thing "HEALTH"

I am joining Saffola #ApneTareekeSeHealthy initiative and sharing my ways of being healthy in association with BlogAdda.

Some Memory, Never fade away.

Helen Keller once said "So long as the memory of certain beloved  lives in my heart, I shall say that life is good."  I have lost my grandparents at an early age. Although I was a 10 year boy at that time I have some vivid memories with my grandparents. How I used to go to pond for long baths with my grandfather how he taught me swimming how we went to the local market on cycle to buy various things runs in front of my eyes.

At that time there was not a camera or a camera phone to capture those moments nor the social media to share our times but still I believe that those things we did at that time will remain in our memory forever.

Bathing at the village pond for hours and catching fish.- Like any other village the village pond used to be a little away. We went there sitting on m grandfathers bicycle. Those rides seems a luxury now. I still remember as soon as we see the pond we will jump from the cycle and run to the pond. Grandpa with his strict look try to restrict our timing but with our request he always agrees. while bathing we had another activity to do that is to catch fish with towels. Me and grandpa will hold the towel from both ends and will drag the towel to the shore and catch fish. We used to catch fish quite an amount that will be sufficient for the lunch.

Fish fry of grandma- After reaching home the first thing will be grandmas complaint why we were so late and who asked us to fish. She will be quite angry that we might catch cold but after seeing our enthusiasm about how we caught fish she will clean them and fry for us to serve them during lunch.

Listening stories from them- Although my grandparents had not studied at all but they knew a lot about history and mythology. After dinner my grand parents told me various stories from past and mythology,.Those stories were so beautifully told that I can still visualise them even now.

Going to fairs during festivities- Makar Sankranti and Durga Puja were the two biggest festival in my grandparents village and nearby areas. We went to the village fair to buy toys and balloons, eat snacks and is another memory which is still clearly visible.

I wish I can relive those moments once again and spend those times again with my grandparents. But they are no more with us. But I know wherever they are they are happy and their blessings will be always with us. The simplicity and pureness of their heart is hard thing to find now a days. The unconditional love which they have given us will be cherished forever and the memory will never fade away till the last breath...............

watch this wonderful video about Lovejatao....

I look forward to hear from you how would you celebrate Grandparents Day. Do share a selfie with your grandparents on Sept. 10, 2017 on Twitter or Facebook with #LoveJatao & tag @blogadda to win a goodie from Parachute Advansed.

Amal Film Review

Amal is a film directed by the film is based on the life of a auto rickshaw driver  on New Delhi and his goodness.

Sometimes he is so good that it's hard to believe that.  I guess director tried to convey the same message.  Amal is too shy throughout the film. I don't know whether it's directors instruction or the fear.  Naseruddin Shah as always powerful and impact full acting in the short screen time.

Watch the trailer of Amal

Overall good film with good script. The supporting cast brilliant.  Sometimes the movie is little slow.
My overall rating.  5.5 out of 10.

Watch a scene from film Amal
